Brampton Movers & Local Moving Company for Family Homes, Basement Units and Offices
We’re Trust Canadian Movers (you may also know us as Trust Canadian Van Lines), and our Brampton office is at 10886 Hurontario St, Unit 7, Brampton, ON L7A 3R9, in the north end of the city. Most of our work here is family moves: four- and five-bedroom houses in Castlemore and Credit Valley, townhouses in Springdale, basement units all over town. We also handle office and warehouse moves around Bramalea and Bram East, and long-distance moves out of Ontario. Our movers are WSIB-covered, and you see the price in writing before you pay a cent.
- Real numbers before move day. An itemized quote with the hourly rate, minimum hours and travel charge, or one flat price if you’re leaving the province.
- Used to big houses. Five bedrooms, a finished basement and a garage packed to the ceiling is a normal Saturday for our Brampton crews.
- Close by, not coming from Toronto. Trucks leave from north Brampton, so Springdale, Mount Pleasant or Bramalea is a short drive, not an hour up the 410.

Who's moving you
A Brampton moving company that plans around big households and busy driveways
Trust Canadian Movers has been in the moving business since 2006, and Brampton has become one of our busiest cities. Look at the houses here and it makes sense. Plenty of Brampton homes hold more than one household: parents, grown kids, grandparents, and often a tenant in the basement. Moving a home like that takes more planning than a one-bedroom apartment, and that’s exactly the work we’re set up for.
Before the truck arrives, we already know where it can park, which door each room goes out of, and how long the basement will take. That planning is the difference between a long, messy day and a move that’s finished when we said it would be.
- Planned room by room. We go through rooms, stairs and entrances on the quote call, so the crew size actually fits the house.
- Upstairs and downstairs, kept separate. If a tenant is moving out at the same time, the two moves can be scheduled and billed as separate jobs.
- Same crew start to finish. The people who load your truck are the same people who unload it at the new place.
Our Brampton services
What we move in Brampton, from basement units to warehouses
Every quote starts with your home, not a package deal. These are the jobs our Brampton crews do most often.
Family home moves across Brampton
Detached and semi-detached houses from Heart Lake to Castlemore. We take apart beds, bunk beds and dining tables, wrap furniture in quilted pads, protect railings and floors, and load room by room so everything comes off the truck in the right order.
Basement apartment & second-unit moves
Brampton has a huge number of basement apartments, and moving out of one is its own kind of job: a side or back entrance, a narrow stairwell, a low ceiling and a landlord living upstairs. We send a right-sized crew, use stair protection, and keep noise and mess out of the shared spaces.
Moving out of Ontario
Relocating from Brampton to Quebec, the Maritimes or the Prairies. We inventory and tag each item, give you a written flat rate, and send it on a dedicated truck or a shared van line run depending on your dates and budget.
Brampton to Alberta, BC and other long hauls
A lot of our long-distance calls from Brampton are families heading to Calgary, Edmonton or the Lower Mainland. You get one binding flat price based on your inventory and the distance, a pickup window you agree to, and tracking while your things are on the road.
Office, warehouse & store moves
Brampton is full of small offices, logistics businesses and retail units around Bramalea, Bram East and the Steeles and Airport Road area. We move desks, racking, filing and stock after hours or on weekends, so you open on time on Monday.
Computers, servers & office tech
Workstations, servers, printers and phone systems go in anti-static wrap and rolling bins, labelled by desk and by cable, so setting up at the new address takes hours instead of days.
Packing for large households
Packing a five-bedroom house with a full basement and a two-car garage can take a family weeks. Our packers usually do it in a day or two: kitchen, closets, the storage room and the garage shelves, with proper boxes, dish packs and clear labels.
Downsizing for parents & grandparents
When parents leave the family house in Bramalea or Peel Village for a condo or a seniors’ residence, we help sort what stays, what’s donated and what goes to which family member, then set up the new place so it feels like home on the first night.
Pianos, safes & home gyms
Uprights, digital pianos, gun and document safes, treadmills and squat racks from basement gyms. We bring piano boards, stair dollies and enough people to carry heavy pieces up a basement stairway without scraping a single wall.
What it costs
Brampton moving prices for 2026, by home size
For a local Brampton move in 2026, expect roughly $130 to $185 an hour for two movers and a truck, $165 to $245 an hour for three, and $205 to $310 an hour for four. Most local moves carry a 3-hour minimum and a 1-hour travel charge. A basement unit usually lands between $520 and $1,110, and a four-bedroom detached house between $1,640 and $3,410. Moves out of the province are quoted as one flat price.
| Type of Brampton move | Crew and truck | How long it usually takes | Rate | Typical total (CAD) | What's in the price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1–2 bedroom basement unit or condo (Downtown, Bramalea, Mount Pleasant) | 2 movers + 16–20 ft truck | 3 – 5 hours | $130 – $185 / hr | $520 – $1,110 | Stair protection, blankets, shrink-wrap, mattress bags |
| 3-bedroom townhouse (Springdale, Fletcher's Meadow, Sandalwood) | 3 movers + 24 ft truck | 5 – 7 hours | $165 – $245 / hr | $990 – $1,960 | Bed and table take-apart, wardrobe boxes, floor runners |
| 4-bedroom detached home (Castlemore, Credit Valley, Heart Lake) | 3–4 movers + 26 ft truck | 7 – 10 hours | $205 – $310 / hr | $1,640 – $3,410 | Room-by-room loading, appliance dolly, full furniture wrap |
| 5+ bedroom or multi-generational home | 4–5 movers + 26 ft truck and a second vehicle | 9 – 12 hours | $250 – $380 / hr | $2,500 – $4,940 | Two-team loading, garage and basement storage handled as separate zones |
| Brampton to Kitchener–Waterloo, about 75 km | 3 movers + dedicated truck | Same day | Hourly or flat | $1,200 – $2,900 | Door to door, no transfer between trucks |
| Brampton to Calgary or Edmonton, cross-country | Shared van line or dedicated truck | 4 – 8 days in transit | Flat price by weight | $3,900 – $9,800+ | Item tagging, long-haul wrapping, tracking, storage on request |
These are ranges, not quotes. Your price depends on how much you have, the stairs and entrances, how far the truck parks from the door, packing and the date. The written estimate is the number that counts.
What your Brampton estimate covers
- Crew, hours & billing
- How many movers, the hourly rate, the 3-hour minimum, and billing in 15-minute steps once the minimum is reached.
- Travel charge
- One flat hour of travel anywhere in Brampton, from our north-end office to your door and back again.
- Floors, walls & furniture
- Moving blankets, floor runners, door-frame and railing protection, plus taking apart and rebuilding beds and tables.
- Boxes & packing
- Every box, roll of tape and mattress bag is listed with its price, and you only pay for what you say yes to.
- Heavy pieces
- A set extra charge for pianos, safes, big appliances or anything over 250 lb, agreed before the day, not on it.
- If something breaks
- Basic released value protection at $0.60 per lb per item comes free. Full value protection can be added in writing.
Things that change a Brampton quote
- Basement entrances
- Side doors, tight stairs and low ceilings slow a crew down. We ask about them on the call and plan the crew around them.
- Where the truck can park
- When the driveway is full of family cars, the truck may have to use the street. We price the extra carry, or ask you to clear a spot the night before.
- New-build closings
- Closings in newer areas such as Mount Pleasant, Credit Valley and north-west Brampton can slip. We can store your things until you get the keys.
- Highway 410 timing
- The 410 and Steeles back up quickly at rush hour, so we start early or late to keep billable drive time down.
Quick Brampton price check
Rough crew, truck and 2026 price for an ordinary weekday move. You don’t need to type in an email.
- Separate basement entrance with tight stairs: add about 1 hr
- Long walk from the street because the driveway is full: add 30–60 min
- Last weekend of the month, or June to August: about +8%
- Snow day, December to March: about +8%
A ballpark built from typical 2026 Brampton rates. Your exact inventory, stairs and parking go into the written quote, and that’s the price you actually pay.
Before you hire
Trust Canadian Movers vs. a moving broker vs. a rental truck in Brampton
Plenty of Brampton moves get booked through websites that take your deposit and hand the job to someone else. We’re the actual mover: our trucks, our staff, our insurance, working out of 10886 Hurontario Street. Here’s what that changes for you.
| What matters | Trust Canadian Movers (the actual mover) | Online moving broker | Renting a truck yourself |
|---|---|---|---|
| The people at your door | Our own trained, WSIB-covered movers | Whoever the broker finds that week | You, plus friends and family |
| Insurance certificate for a landlord or condo | Free, usually within a day | Hit or miss | Not possible |
| A price you can hold someone to | Itemized and written before any deposit | An estimate; the real carrier sets the final bill | Rental, kilometres, gas and any damage |
| Tracking on long-distance moves | Yes, on every out-of-province move | Rarely | Not applicable |
| If something gets damaged | Cargo and liability insurance, full value option | Depends on the carrier | Your own home insurance, maybe |
| If a truck breaks down | We send another truck | Usually no backup | You call roadside assistance |
Local know-how
What makes a Brampton move harder than it looks
Most Brampton moves aren’t hard because of the distance. They’re hard because of the house, the driveway and the timing. These are the things our coordinators sort out before move day.
Basement units with their own entrance
A side-door basement unit with a narrow stair and a low bulkhead can take longer than the entire upstairs. We ask about tight spots on the quote call, bring stair protection and shoulder straps, and take sofas and bed frames apart rather than forcing them around a corner.
Full driveways and narrow subdivision streets
In a lot of Brampton homes the driveway holds three or four cars, and the street out front is a crescent lined with parked cars. We work out where a 26-foot truck can actually stop, send a 20-footer when that makes more sense, and price in the extra walking up front instead of surprising you with it.
Closing dates that move in new subdivisions
Newer areas in north-west Brampton, Mount Pleasant and along Mayfield Road still have homes finishing construction, and closing dates slip. If your sale closes before your purchase is ready, we load once, keep your things in storage, and deliver the day you get the keys.
Highway 410, Steeles and Queen Street at rush hour
The 410 between Steeles and Bovaird crawls most weekday mornings and late afternoons, and Steeles and Queen Street aren’t much better. We set start times around it and use Airport Road, Torbram, Mississauga Road or the 427 when they’re quicker.
Big households with years of belongings
Three generations under one roof means three generations of furniture, plus a basement storage room and a full garage. We plan these as bigger moves from the start, with more movers, more boxes and sometimes two trucks, so nobody is still loading at nine at night.
Condos downtown and around Bramalea City Centre
Brampton’s condo buildings near the downtown GO station, around Bramalea City Centre and in Mount Pleasant Village each have their own elevator bookings and insurance rules. We send the certificate of insurance your management office asks for and time the crew to your elevator slot.
Moves between Brampton, Caledon, Mississauga and Vaughan
Many of our Brampton jobs end in Bolton, Caledon, Georgetown, Mississauga or Woodbridge. Those are priced as local moves by the hour, and our office in north Brampton is minutes from Mayfield Road and Highway 10 for anything heading into Caledon.
Snowy side streets and shared driveways
After a big snowfall, side streets in newer subdivisions can stay narrow for days. We bring salt, clear a path to the truck, and lay runners from the front door to every room so wet boots never touch your floors.
Our promises
Four things every Brampton customer can count on
A written price before any deposit
Your estimate lists the crew size, rate, minimum hours, travel charge, deposit and cancellation terms. If something extra comes up on the day, the crew lead talks it through with you before doing it.
Insurance your landlord or condo will accept
Our policies include Commercial General Liability plus Motor Truck Cargo coverage, and Ontario WSIB protects every person on the crew. Need a certificate for your landlord or property manager? It costs nothing.
Our own movers, not hired help
Trained, uniformed, background-checked staff who show up with dollies, piano boards, floor runners and a clean truck.
Someone actually answers the phone
Your coordinator stays with you from the first call to the last box, and the Brampton line, 647-558-5659, is answered around the clock.
We operate as an asset-based carrier under Ontario’s Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration (CVOR) rules, with Ontario WSIB clearance. Our written estimates follow the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002, so your final bill can’t come in more than 10% over the estimate unless you approve extra work. If your employer is paying for the move, you get itemized invoices for your relocation provider. We prepare the CBSA BSF186 inventory for moves to or from the United States, we don’t pass jobs to unknown subcontractors, and we never hold anyone’s belongings back to demand more money.

Brampton customers in their own words
Big, expensive furniture without a scratch
I was so nervous about moving our large, expensive furniture pieces, but the movers were total pros. They wrapped everything with blankets and plastic, and handled it all with extreme care. Not even a scratch! They reassembled our bed and dining set at the new place, too. Incredible attention to detail.

Moving house with two toddlers
Moving into our new home with two toddlers was chaotic, but this team made it so much easier. They were fast, polite, and kept everything organized. We were completely unpacked and settled within two days, thanks to how smoothly everything went. I’m genuinely grateful for their hard work and professionalism.

Before you book
Brampton moving questions we hear every week
What do movers in Brampton charge per hour in 2026?
Plan on about $130 to $185 an hour for two movers and a truck, $165 to $245 for three, and $205 to $310 for four, usually with a 3-hour minimum and 1 hour of travel. A basement unit typically costs $520 to $1,110 in total; a four-bedroom detached house $1,640 to $3,410. Long-distance moves get one flat written price instead of an hourly rate.
Do you actually have an office in Brampton, or do crews come from Toronto?
We have a Brampton office at 10886 Hurontario St, Unit 7, Brampton, ON L7A 3R9, in the north end of the city. Crews start their day here, which is why Brampton moves only carry one hour of travel time.
Can you move a basement tenant without disrupting the family upstairs?
Yes, and it’s one of our most common Brampton jobs. We use the basement’s own entrance, protect the stairwell and any shared areas, and keep the crew small enough to stay out of the way. If both the owner and the tenant are moving, we can book and bill them as two separate jobs.
How do you handle a five-bedroom house with three generations living in it?
We treat it as a large move from the first call. That usually means four or five movers, packing help for the basement and garage, and sometimes a second vehicle. We’ll also ask which items go to which household if family members are moving to different places, and load the truck in that order.
My new home's closing date might change. What happens to my booking?
Tell us as soon as you know. We’ll move the date if we can, and if your old place closes first, we can load your things, keep them in storage and deliver once you have keys, so you don’t pay for two full moves.
Do you move between Brampton and Caledon, Mississauga or Vaughan?
All the time. Moves to Bolton, Caledon, Georgetown, Mississauga, Woodbridge or Etobicoke are quoted at the local hourly rate, not as long-distance. We plan the 410, 427 or Highway 10 part of the trip around traffic.
Do you do long-distance moves from Brampton to Alberta or BC?
Yes. Calgary, Edmonton and the Vancouver area are among our most common long-distance routes from Brampton, along with Quebec and the Maritimes. You get a binding flat price based on your inventory, item-by-item tagging and tracking while your shipment is on the road.
How quickly can I get a written quote?
Most people have it the same day or the next business day. The fastest way is the form at the top of this page. You can also phone our Brampton line at 647-558-5659, try the toll-free number 888-596-0669, or send the details by email to info@trustcanadianvanlines.ca.
